Reduce Unexpected Costs By Maintaining Your Sewer System
Mid America Drain offers tailor-made commercial sewer service to maintain the integrity of your facility’s drainage system.
Through our commercial maintenance programs our clients are able to reduce unexpected costs that arise through commercial drainage emergencies often caused by a lack of maintenance.
Our General Manager will personally oversee the creation and execution of your Commercial Drain and Sewer Maintenance Program.
Common program elements include:
- Grease Trap Maintenance – Emptying Grease Traps at set intervals
- Preventive Drain Cleaning
- Hydro Jetting/Flushing
- Camera inspections
Grease Trap Maintenance
The grease trap in restaurants and commercial kitchens keeps fats, oils, and grease (called FOG) from going into the sewer system. Most municipalities have a minimum cleaning frequency for grease traps.
If you fail to keep your grease trap cleaned frequently, the fats, oils, and grease will get into your pipes and stick to the sides. Food particles and other debris will then stick to the FOG and you get clogged drain pipes.
Regular cleaning of your grease trap will keep your pipes flowing smoothly and prevent costly repairs.
We are an approved hauler by MSD and on the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Division of Environmental Compliance Hauled Waste – MSD Approved Hauler List.
Preventive Drain Cleaning
Don’t let clogged drains distract you from important business. A regular inspection of your drains will reveal areas in need of cleaning before they become costly and time-consuming blockages.
Hydro Jetting/Flushing
Scale and debris build up in your pipes over time, eventually causing your drains to run slowly or even become blocked. Hydro jetting (also called hydro flushing) is an important maintenance procedure for your pipes.
Hydro jetting (also called hydro flushing) cleans out the scale and accumulated debris leaving your pipes clean and smooth.
Camera Inspections
Two types of camera inspections are used to spot problem areas in your pipes.
For the smaller drains like sinks, toilets, and tubs, a push camera inspection will show whether the pipes are clean or starting to accumulate debris that needs to be cleared out.
For larger sewer mains, a tractor camera inspection reveals problems in their initial stage. Accumulating debris or root intrusions can be spotted and removed using hydro jetting. Cracked or sagging pipes can be spotted and fixed before they become major problems.

Our Push Camera in use. Push camera applications include locating where a pipe has a crack or break as well as getting a visual on why unclogging the pipe with conventional methods is not working.
